Rob’s main goal is to get you back moving! He believes taking time to listen to his clients, and explain his clinical reasoning are essential to everyone’s recovery. In addition, Rob’s approach to physiotherapy involves a combination of hands on manual therapy, functional dry needling (IMS), client education, and rehabilitative exercises. Rob understands not every person and injury are the same; through a one-on-one approach Rob will create an individualized plan to get you doing the things you enjoy.

Rob grew up in Victoria, attending the Lambrick Park High School Baseball Academy. Through sports and academics he created a passion to pursue physiotherapy as a career. He is a UBC-Okanagan alumni, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics. After spending years in Kelowna, he knew it was the place he eventually wanted to plant some roots. Rob continued his education at UBC in Vancouver graduating with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2016.

Rob has completed multiple manual therapy courses through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and has 2 levels of training in functional dry needling (IMS) through Kinetacore/EIM. Rob loves working with active individuals especially golfers and baseball players of any age and skill. He spent the summer of 2017 working with the Kelowna Falcons West Coast League baseball team as a trainer and is currently working on completing certification through the Titlist Performance Institute. When Rob is not in the clinic, you can usually find him outdoors soaking up the Okanagan sun with his family, at a baseball game, or on a golf course.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy approaches the body as a whole and treats the cause of your symptoms. This type of manual therapy aims to align the body to heal and regulate itself, since structure and function are interrelated. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners believe imbalances in the body’s structure are directly related to the development of dysfunction and disease. Each treatment is unique and catered to what the body needs. The practitioner considers your whole body including: muscles, joints, fascia, ligaments, nerves, arteries, veins, organs and your lymphatic system. Osteopathy is beneficial in improving posture, mobility, pain and circulation, and can help with musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, digestive, reproductive and urogenital problems.
